Whether this is your first visit to see a dentist or your first in a long while, Dr. Roberts and his staff strive to make you feel as comfortable as possible. From scheduling your first appointment, through the end of your visit, we want you to have a positive experience and our entire staff is dedicated to making sure your visit is a success. Regular dental visits are very important to your dental health, as well as proper home care. Your dental care starts with you by brushing and flossing at least twice daily . Professional teeth cleaning and check-ups at our office are recommended every six months with one of our wonderful hygienists.
What to expect :
At your new patient cleaning and check-up appointment you will be asked to fill out a medical history form which is vital in creating your treatment plan. Next, one of our hygienists will start by taking your blood pressure followed by x-rays and photos of your teeth, she will then determine the type of cleaning needed and will proceed with either a prophylaxis or recommend Scaling and root planning if periodontal disease is present. Dr. Roberts will review your x-rays, then examine your teeth, gums, jaw alignment and your bite, and screen for oral cancer. Later, using the findings from your exam, we will recommend a treatment plan and go over it together, giving you an opportunity to ask questions and explore all your options if further treatment is needed. You will be given as much time as needed for questions about your treatment. If you are ready to schedule, your appointments will be made before you leave so you do not have to worry about missing your next appointment.
